COVID-19 Protocols for Dominion Handyman
Effective November 24, 2020 until further notice. Updated September 1, 2021

Masks and vaccination
Staff are required to wear a face mask at all times whilst in a vehicle with other staff AND whilst inside public spaces (such as hardware stores or other supplier stores) AND while working at interior client locations, where social distancing is difficult to maintain. This requirement may be relaxed, if both staff and clients are fully vaccinated.
Masks are to be replaced no less than each week with fresh masks. Clients are strongly encouraged to wear masks when they are near occupied job sites.

Testing

Staff who have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 may not work on inside client job sites until they have achieved a negative COVID-19 test result.

 

Vaccination

All full-time staff at Dominion Handyman are fully vaccinated.

Staff are strongly encouraged to obtain a COVID-19 vaccination. Staff who are unable to be vaccinated must complete regular weekly testing in order to work at inside client job sites.

Social distancing
Maintain at least 6’ distance from others at all times or wear a mask when distancing is not practical.

Sanitation
Staff are required to use sterilizer on hands before meal breaks AND as they enter the vehicle from either a job site or any public space, such as a hardware store.

Off-job Risk Management
Staff are expected to carefully manage their risk of COVID infection from external sources such as Social Gatherings and Public Indoor Spaces by following the directives issued by the Virginia Department of Health.
Staff shall follow CDC Guidance for Business at all times (the basis of these job safety requirements).

Reporting Symptoms
Staff are required to report any symptoms of COVID-19 infection before reporting to work each day, as needed.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are:

• fever of >100.4ºF, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

Other symptoms may include:

• chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or, new loss of taste or smell.
